ACID FUNK REMIXES OUT NOW!!! | | |  | Originally released in 1996 on double vinyl and never before released digitally, we are delighted to present remixes of Acid Funk.
Acid Funk was produced by Gavin Hardkiss and Scott Hardkiss with
Scott on vocals. It was recorded at Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco in Studio C where the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane and Santana recorded in the '70s & '80s.
Hardkiss Music had released iconic productions by Scott Hardkiss such as Raincry and The Phoenix under the name God Within. Gavin Hardkiss used the name Hawke for Three Nudes In A Purple Garden and five subsequent albums. Those songs were featured on the Rolling Stone Alternative #1 album Delusions of Grandeur. Acid Funk is the only collab between the two using these names The vinyl release of Acid Funk included an acapella version which has been improvised live, sampled and bootlegged by hundreds of DJs. Some of these versions were spontaneously shared with the Hardkiss Music label who shared them with Dirtybird. We thought it would be a good idea to make some of our favorite versions available to the public. | | | | |
