Play Dirty
Get ready to “Play Dirty” with us in October 2022 as we return to Modesto for a very special boutique camping festival. Dirtybird Campout West Coast returns October 7-9, 2022.
We believe we’ve perfected the best boutique festival in the world. Dirtybird Campout includes color team games, Claude’s Cabin (vaudeville stage), Birdhouse and Bass Lodge music stages and the best fans in the world. It just doesn't get any better than this. Read more below for updates and details on what makes Dirtybird Campout so unique.
5 Experiences you'll only have at Dirtybird Campout
More music this year.
The Birdhouse Stage is the place where house and techno legends come together. We showcase fan favorite artists from the Dirtybird record label as well as highly respected guest stars from around the world.
The Bass Lodge is like the wild west full of alternative electronic music from Jungle to Hyper-pop to Hip Hop and Wobbly Bass. Each night has a thematic story to tell and this is where you can find the most experimental and earth shaking sounds.
Stay tuned for more music news coming soon and who’s your favorite artist that you want on our lineup this year? Let us know here.

You don't just attend Campout, you make Campout.
Every year campers tell us this was the best weekend of their lives. We strive to create the most unforgettable, inclusive, and creative event possible. But we really just provide the vehicle to make it all happen. The Campout community fuels this weekend with something truly special that can’t be described - only experienced.
We rely on you to help us curate the best festival every year. We’ll be launching our Peacock Program soon where you can tell us what you want to bring to Dirtybird Campout and we’ll help you fund it.
Stay tuned here for more info on that Peacock Program opening applications soon.
Equality & Inclusion LGBTQIA & BIPOC
We look at all our initiatives at Dirtybird with an eye toward inclusion, equality, and diversity. We recognize that there are underserved artists in our community and we want to make sure we’re doing everything we can to provide diversity with our music and lineups.
We provide educational opportunities to the BIPOC community. We just awarded our 2022 Spring scholarship program, this year partnering with Point Blank school and will provide 2 scholarships + gear per year ongoing.
Dirtybird Flight Club NFT project has donated to the "Notes for Notes" charity in Santa Barbara that provides youth with free access to music instruments, instruction and recording studio environments.
We also love to work with "My Friends Place", a charity that helps combat teen homelessness in Los Angeles and provide time and money to BIPOC, homeless, and mental health initiatives when possible (too many to mention here).
We believe providing music and a caring community are critical to a positive mental health journey and have an ongoing relationship with many fans in our community who come to us with mental health needs.
Sustainability
No matter what team color you are or how dirty you get, we want every team to be GREEN and CLEAN. We scour the grounds before and after the event and leave it better than we found it.
Our CIT (volunteer program) picks up the grounds from bottle tops to glass and any trash prior to the event and we educate our festival-goers to pack it in and out.
We encourage non-plastic where possible and help recycle on site and provide helpful sorting options.
We donate any items that are left onsite to homeless shelters (tenting supplies) and we donate leftover food from catering and food trucks to our local food pantry.
Meet your best friend
Birds of a feather flock together – especially when it comes to Dirtybird fans! Birds coming to Campout are obviously fun loving, attend for the awesome music and build camaraderie around the camp games. There’s no better place to meet cool new friends from all over the world!
The campsite seems like an especially popular place to meet fellow Birds. So be sure to be neighborly and open to chance encounters and making new friends wherever you go during the weekend – who knows, you may even meet your next BFF or the love of your life!
Ps. We have events for singles and solo campers, so if you're solo, don't hesitate and reach out to the Dirtybird community to carpool pre-event on our Chirp board here.
