The competition was fierce for this year's DJ contest, with so many qualified entries to explore, it took Counselor Claude and the Dirtybird crew some time to decide. Congratulations to Slippin Jimmy for creating the 30-minute mix of choice!
As part of the Grand Prize, watch for him spin an hour-long set at Campout's Silent Disco and tune into the mix on Claude VonStroke's radio show, The Birdhouse (date TBA). Let alone all the other perks, there's no doubt this is the stuff dreams are made of.
This unexpected mix is full of surprises and smooth notes. It flowed nicely, taking us on a journey while displaying a wide range of taste. Plus, the sound fits the bill perfectly for its late-night time slot.
